Daylight Music 257: Kathryn Williams is one of the most beloved singer-songwriters; since 1999, she’s created 12 astounding albums (including her recent collaboration with Laura Barnett). Don’t miss this opportunity to see her up close in the glorious Union Chapel. RM Hubbert writes songs about love, death, mental illness and a dog called D Bone (and promises you that his music isn’t as depressing as those subjects might suggest). Alexi Erenkov and Alison Alderdic—a married couple from Portland, Oregon—create beautiful and personal music as The Saxophones. Blending the darkness and melancholy of 1950s balladry with minimalistic woodwind arrangements, their hypnotic sound is shaped by tragedy and regret. The event will also feature organ interludes from the brilliant Hannah Lawrence.
