Bennett Wilson Poole conjure colourful, magical, cosmic English music to counteract these troubled times. Danny Wilson (Danny and the Champions of the World, Grand Drive), and Robin Bennett (The Dreaming Spires, Saint Etienne) have joined forces with Tony Poole (Starry Eyed and Laughing, also a producer extraordinaire, and king of the electric twelve-string Rickenbacker) to delight you with transcendental sound.
Joel Pike composes as Tiny Leaves, creating sweeping, lush, cinematic music that’s oddly delicate. Lauren Laverne hails his tracks as “stunning”, featuring them as the “Headphones Moment” on her BBC6 show; catch them for yourself at Daylight Music. There’s also an opportunity to hear Alice Phelps, a fabulous multi-instrumentalist who’s influenced by folk from near and far. Creating ambient lilting rhythmic harmonies with the harp, perfectly contrasted with bellowing, husky vocals in a very unusual but beautiful way.
Danny Wilson (Danny And The Champions Of The World, Grand Drive), and Robin Bennett (The Dreaming Spires, Saint Etienne) join forces with Tony Poole (Starry Eyed and Laughing), producer extraordinaire, and King of the electric twelve-string Rickenbacker. Combining their voices, guitars, and songwriting to marvellous effect in a collection of songs that began as uplifting acoustic music and just grew into something far more wide-ranging and transcendent, providing balm, inspiration and succour for these troubled times.
